Sears, Isaac
(¿1 jul.? 1730, West Brewster, Mass.–28 oct. 1786, Cantón, China).

Patriota norteamericano. Comerciante de la ciudad de Nueva York, apoyó la causa de los patriotas en los desórdenes de la ley del Timbre. Como miembro del grupo radical Hijos de la Libertad inició un boicot a las mercaderías inglesas, en protesta contra las leyes Townshend. Encabezó la destitución de funcionarios realistas (leales a la corona) de la ciudad de Nueva York y se apoderó del gobierno municipal hasta la llegada de las tropas de George Washington (1775). Desde Boston organizó a los corsarios para que asaltaran los buques británicos. Murió durante una incursión comercial a China.
